Inspiration

So I know it has been a while and I'm sorry for all 3 followers that I have. Northern NJ as well as other areas in the north east got hit with another snow storm or as the news reports were calling it Snowicane. We ended up getting about 18" of snow and we are set to get some more on Monday or Tuesday.. Just freaking great.

Since it was a snow day both hubby and I were home so after shoveling ourselves out and running out to get some lunch we decided to watch a movie. I had netflixed three movies, Julie and Julia, 500 Days of Summer and The Ugly Truth.. I pretended to shuffle the movies and hubby had to close his eyes and pick one. Julie and Julia it was.

First off, I absolutely loved the movie. I thought it was really funny, inspirational (hence the title of the post) and kept my interest the whole time. I loved Julie's idea of cooking through Julia Child's book and blogging about it. I liked how Julie started out as a nobody in the blogging world and a year later was super popular and known world wide.

Now I'm not looking to be known world wide but I wish I had interesting things to blog about and people to follow me. Any ideas from my 3 followers would be appreciated. I following a good amount of blogs myself and they range from home decorating to baking to babies to face painting to crafts to fashion, etc. Most of the people that I follow I feel are "famous" in the blogging world or at least have a good number of fans. For some reason I feel more comfortable having random stranger follow me than actually people I know hahaha. Weird I know.

  1. More snow?! Nooooooo!

A couple of hints for followers, besides finding a niche topic to blog about (and I'm no expert, by any means)... register with blogcatalog.com and blogged.com. That'll help you with rankings and followers. Also, every time you post, go to pingomatic.com and ping everything with the fact that you've got a new post up. Not sure what that does exactly, but it was recommended to me by someone who's really blogging businesslike.
